Question 1

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Just send us a WhatsApp message – that’s all it takes. You don’t need confirmed flights, measurements or a final design to start the conversation. Our team will guide you from there.

Question 2

What happens after I message you?

Accepted Answer

We’ll chat with you on WhatsApp to understand what you like, share our price structure and point you to our Instagram to explore our designs.

When you’re ready, we’ll set up a simple WhatsApp video call from our showroom, so you can see the collection and fabrics for real before you decide. Nothing is paid until you’re happy to go ahead.

Question 3

How does the video call work?

Accepted Answer

It’s just a WhatsApp video call – nothing to install, no link to join.

1. Tell us a day and time that suits you, between 9:45am and 7:30pm Sri Lanka time.
2. We’ll send you the WhatsApp number for your call.
3. At that time, call the number on WhatsApp video.

You’ll talk face to face with our team and see our outfits, fabrics and options, live from the showroom.

Question 4

How quickly will you reply?

Accepted Answer

As soon as we can during opening hours – 9:30am to 7:30pm Sri Lanka time. We’re closed on Mondays and Poya days, so messages sent then are answered the next opening day.

Question 5

What outfits do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Three collections, each made with the same care:

Aarya Sinhala – our signature Sri Lankan groomwear, designed by our team in classic and modern styles.

Indian – Jodhpuris, sherwani-style festive kurtas and shawls, along with embroidered kurta shoes to complete the look.

Western – suits and tuxedos, made to your measurements or ready-to-wear from our Tuxberry double-breasted collection.

We also provide outfits for bestmen and family, and rent out wedding guest wear.

Question 6

Where can I see your designs?

Accepted Answer

Our Instagram shows a selection of our work – and a small tip: zoom in. Our gold embroidery and sequin work is fine and carefully placed, never heavy, so the detail shows best up close.

There’s much more in our showrooms than on Instagram, so on your WhatsApp video call we’ll show you the wider collection and any detail you’d like to see.

Question 7

How much will my outfit cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the collection, design and option you choose. We’ll share our price structure in the WhatsApp chat, and once you’ve chosen, we’ll confirm the price with you before you pay anything.

Question 8

What’s the difference between Made-to-Purchase, First-Fitting Rental and Standard Rental?

Accepted Answer

Made-to-Purchase: a new outfit made to your measurements, yours to keep.
First-Fitting Rental: a new outfit made to your measurements – you’re the first to wear it, and you return it after the event.
Standard Rental: choose from our ready rental collection by trying outfits on at the showroom.
Ready-to-wear (Western): our Tuxberry double-breasted suits, tried on and adjusted to fit you.

Rentals are charged per event, not per day.

Question 9

Should I buy or rent?

Accepted Answer

There’s no wrong choice – it’s about what suits you. Made-to-Purchase is lovely if you’d like to keep your outfit as a keepsake of your wedding day, and there’s nothing to return before you fly back. Renting is ideal if you only need it for the day.

If you’d like to rent, First-Fitting Rental can be reserved from abroad. Standard Rental is chosen by trying outfits on at the showroom, so it’s only suitable if you arrive in Sri Lanka two to three months before the wedding.

We’ll walk you through both in the chat, with prices, so you can choose what feels right.

Question 10

Will the colour look the same as on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Screens can show colours a little differently, so we’ll show you the fabrics in good light on the WhatsApp video call. You’ll also see the material in person at your fitting in Sri Lanka.

Question 11

Can my family visit the showroom for me?

Accepted Answer

Of course. They can walk in anytime we’re open, and we can bring you in on a WhatsApp video call while they’re here. The fittings, though, need to be done by you once you arrive – no one else can try on your outfit for you.

Question 12

What do I get with Made-to-Purchase?

Accepted Answer

A new outfit made just for you, in the design and fabric you choose, fitted to you over two fittings – and yours to keep.

Question 13

Can I order a Made-to-Purchase outfit from abroad?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it’s simple. Chat with us on WhatsApp, see the collection on a WhatsApp video call, and confirm your order with a 50% advance.

We then reserve a workshop slot in your name. Once you arrive, we take your measurements, finalise the details with you and start making your outfit.

Question 14

How early should I order?

Accepted Answer

Ideally two to three months before your wedding. Your advance reserves your workshop slot, so your outfit has its place in our schedule well before you land.

Question 15

When is my outfit made?

Accepted Answer

After you arrive. We take your measurements and finalise the fabric with you, and because your workshop slot is already reserved, your outfit is made in time for your two fittings before the wedding.

Question 16

Does “First-Fitting” mean I only get one fitting?

Accepted Answer

No – it means the outfit is newly made for you, and you’re the first to wear it. It includes two fittings.

Question 17

I’d like to rent. Can I just pick an outfit when I arrive?

Accepted Answer

You can, if you’re in Sri Lanka early. Our rental outfits don’t come in fixed sizes, so finding yours means trying on a few at the showroom – and an outfit can only be reserved after that try-on.

If you arrive two to three months before the wedding, Standard Rental works well. If you’re arriving closer to the date, we recommend First-Fitting Rental, which you can reserve from abroad.

Question 18

Why do you recommend First-Fitting Rental to overseas grooms who want to rent?

Accepted Answer

It’s still a rental – you simply return it after the wedding – but you can reserve it from abroad, so your workshop slot is secured in your name. Once you arrive, we take your measurements and make it new for you.

No searching for your size, and no worrying that your favourite design is taken. Ask us to compare prices in the chat.

Question 19

Can I look for a Standard Rental first, and switch to First-Fitting Rental if I don’t find one?

Accepted Answer

It’s a common plan, but it can leave you short of time. First-Fitting Rental outfits are made in our workshop, and slots are reserved well ahead of each wedding – so by the time you’ve tried our rental collection after landing, the slots for your date may already be full.

Reserving First-Fitting Rental or Made-to-Purchase from abroad keeps your outfit secure, and you’ll still see everything on a WhatsApp video call before you confirm.

Question 20

Why can’t you reserve a Standard Rental outfit from abroad?

Accepted Answer

Each rental outfit is a single piece with its own size and fit. The only way to know it fits is to try it on, so we reserve it after your try-on at the showroom.

Question 21

How early should I reserve?

Accepted Answer

Ideally two to three months before your wedding. It gives you time to choose without rushing and gives our workshop time to make your outfit.

Question 22

Is it safe to pay an advance before I’ve visited your showroom?

Accepted Answer

You only pay once you’ve seen the collection on a WhatsApp video call, spoken with our team face to face and agreed the price.

If you’d like, family in Sri Lanka are welcome to visit any of our three showrooms first.

Question 23

What does my 50% advance secure?

Accepted Answer

Your order and a workshop slot reserved in your name – so we can make your outfit on time, even though your measurements are taken after you arrive.

Question 24

Can I reserve before choosing the final design or fabric?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your advance secures your slot, and we finalise the design and fabric with you afterwards.

Question 25

How do I pay from overseas?

Accepted Answer

We accept cash, card and bank transfer. From overseas, bank transfer is usually the easiest – we’ll share the details when you’re ready.

Question 26

Can a family member in Sri Lanka pay on my behalf?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course. A family member can pay the advance or the balance for you – at any of our showrooms, by cash or card, or by bank transfer.

Question 27

When do I pay the balance?

Accepted Answer

If you reserve with a 50% advance, the balance is paid at your first fitting in Sri Lanka. If you pay in full at booking, there’s nothing more to pay later.

Question 28

What if I need to cancel or change my wedding date?

Accepted Answer

Just let us know as soon as you can. For a new date, we’ll check our workshop schedule and help you find the best way forward.

If you need to cancel, we don’t offer cash refunds – but your payment isn’t lost. It’s converted to store credit, which you can use towards another order or a different item.

Question 29

Do I need to send measurements from abroad?

Accepted Answer

No. Because your workshop slot is already reserved, we take your measurements at the showroom after you arrive.

Question 30

When do you take measurements online?

Accepted Answer

Only if you’re arriving very close to the wedding, or not coming to Sri Lanka at all. Then we arrange a second WhatsApp video call, and our team guides the people helping you through each measurement, step by step.

Arriving close to the wedding? You’ll still have your fittings at the showroom, where we fine-tune the fit.

Not coming to Sri Lanka? Without a fitting at our showroom, some body shapes and postures are hard to capture exactly, so small adjustments may be needed afterwards. We’ll explain this before you confirm, and any qualified local tailor can take care of them.

Question 31

What do I need for an online measurement call?

Accepted Answer

• Two people to help you – one to hold the phone camera, and one to hold the measuring tape in place
• A soft measuring tape in inches
• A well-lit room
• Fitted clothing

Question 32

What if my weight changes before the wedding?

Accepted Answer

It happens – just let us know early. Your fittings in Sri Lanka are where we make the final adjustments.

Question 33

My wedding is outside Sri Lanka. Can I order from you?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Made-to-Purchase is the option for you. We chat on WhatsApp, show you the collection on a WhatsApp video call, and take your measurements on a second video call.

Question 34

Can I rent an outfit for a wedding abroad?

Accepted Answer

Our rental outfits stay in Sri Lanka, so for a wedding abroad, Made-to-Purchase is the way to go – and the outfit is yours to keep.

Question 35

How does it work from start to finish?

Accepted Answer

1. Send us a WhatsApp message.
2. Chat with our team – we share our price structure and point you to our Instagram.
3. See the collection on a WhatsApp video call.
4. Confirm your order with a 50% advance – we’ll first explain what to expect with the fit when there’s no showroom fitting.
5. Give your measurements on a second WhatsApp video call, guided by our team.
6. We make your outfit and let you know when it’s ready, so you can arrange the pickup.

Question 36

How early should I order for a wedding abroad?

Accepted Answer

A little earlier than for a wedding in Sri Lanka, so there’s time to make your outfit and get it to you – ideally three to four months before the wedding.

Question 37

How will my outfit fit without trying it on in person?

Accepted Answer

We want to be open with you: some body shapes and postures are hard to measure exactly from a distance, and without a fitting at our showroom we can’t see and correct those details ourselves. So before you confirm, we’ll ask you to understand and agree that small adjustments may be needed.

If they are, any qualified tailor or alteration service near you can take care of them.

Question 38

Can I see my finished outfit before it’s collected?

Accepted Answer

Yes – once your outfit is ready, we’ll send you photos or a short video, so you can see it before it’s collected.

Question 39

How do I get my outfit to me overseas?

Accepted Answer

We don’t ship outfits ourselves. We recommend sending it with someone travelling from Sri Lanka to your country – a family member or friend can collect it from our showroom and bring it to you.

We don’t recommend courier services, as parcels aren’t always handled with the care a wedding outfit needs.

Question 40

Will I have to pay import duties or taxes?

Accepted Answer

These depend on your country’s rules and are usually paid by the receiver, so it’s worth checking with your local customs office.

Question 41

Can my family collect the outfit in Sri Lanka and bring it to me?

Accepted Answer

Yes – and it’s the way we recommend. Once your outfit is ready, a family member or friend can collect it from our showroom and bring it with them when they travel to you.

Question 42

What if my outfit needs adjusting once it reaches me?

Accepted Answer

Any qualified tailor or alteration service near you can make the final adjustments.

Or, if there’s enough time, you can send it back to us with someone travelling to Sri Lanka – we’ll adjust it, and it can come back to you the same way.
